Winslow went to Roger’s Gardens with Cathy last week. Having already been to the squirrel park, he prefers the shade near the Hydrangeas to wandering around the garden searching for clematis. This is the front runner for his Easter Portrait so far. They are very kindly to handsome spaniels there, although Armstrongs serves dog biscuits and is therefore a more frequent stop. But we will be returning soon to Rogers for our tomatos. A must this year.

Winslow Visits Anthropologie
Winslow and his human went to Fashion Island earlier this week, and after the obligatory stop at the dog treat shoppe, they headed for Anthropologie. Winslow likes to hang there, and the shop girls are very sweet to him, but how could they resist his handsome face. There is always cool new table ware there that would make Winslow feel very stylish eating from.
Gardening
Winslow is assisting in the garden today.
Enjoying the California Cafe Scene
While all of you spaniels back east and overseas are enjoying winter and the snow, I am forced to endure the California Cafe Scene. Well, at least I know some nice tidbits are in store, and I did have a good squirrel chase first…..
Winslow’s First Public Photo
When Winslow had only been home with us about a week, we ventured out to get his photo taken. I was still very new to computers, so we went to the Apple Store so that they could take one and upload it to my email in order that I could have one to send one to everyone I knew. Winslow was a very rambunctious pup, but extremely cheerful and loveable. He was so happy to experience everything we did and everywhere we went.
Winslow Takes Montecito
Winslow goes where we go, being a typical Welsh Springer Spaniel, also known as velcro dogs. Here he is posing on a nice shop stoop. We had just had lunch at the Montecito Pharmacy, great turkey sandos, with leftovers for Winslow of course.
Winslow Hiking North of Cayucos
Winslow loves rain and the salt air blowing, so he was in heaven hiking in Cayucos last week. Maybe it felt a little bit like Wales. He was a little miffed that he wasn’t allowed to tumble down the bluffs to run in the ocean. He did flush one snowy egret, but I was too slow to the shutter.
